Vintage Lesney Matchbox Models of Yesteryear No. 9 (Y-9) Fowler Big Lion Showman's Engine, dating to the late 1950 era. Approximately 57–67 years old as of 2026, depending on the production year. A collectible miniature steam-powered traction engine featuring a maroon-red diecast body, white canopy roof, yellow spoked wheels, grey wheel treads and decorative period-style detailing. The canopy displays “Lesney's Modern Amusements” lettering along the sides. The model represents a traditional British showman's traction engine used to power travelling fairground attractions.
Condition: Grade 7/10 – Good to Very Good Vintage Used Condition. Light to moderate paint chips, scratches and finish wear across the maroon body and white canopy. Minor age-related wear to the wheels and metal fittings. The canopy, chimney and four wheels are present. Unboxed

AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE AUCTION: Pickup is the next day, 10 am to 2 pm, or by appointment. Purchasers must notify us immediately if our pickup day doesn’t work for them. Purchasers will be responsible for arranging their own pickup.

Any items not picked up in a reasonable time period shall be considered abandoned unless communication on the subject has been received. Your CTC account will be publicly notified to show non-payment, to prevent you from causing undue stress to other auctioneers.
