LESNEY/MATCHBOX SERIES NO. 2 MUIR-HILL DUMPER DIECAST
Vintage Lesney Matchbox Series No. 2 Muir-Hill Dumper diecast construction vehicle, manufactured in England during the 1950s–1960s era. Approximately 57–71 years old. Originally issued as part of the classic Matchbox 1-75 Regular Wheels series. This collectible miniature construction dumper features a burgundy-red driver's cab and chassis, green tipping skip, matching green overhead canopy, black wheels and large treaded rear tyres. The cab carries the distinctive yellow-and-black “LAING” contractor lettering. The underside is marked “MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY,” with the model designation “MUIR-HILL DUMPER No. 2” visible on the green section. Includes its original illustrated yellow-and-blue Matchbox No. 2 cardboard box.
Vehicle Condition: Grade 8/10 – Very Good Vintage Used Condition. Light paint chips, minor surface scratches and general wear consistent with age. Tipping skip, canopy, wheels and LAING lettering are present.
Original Box Condition: Grade 4/10 – Fair Vintage Condition. Noticeable crushing, creasing and distortion to the cardboard, particularly at the corners and end flaps. Surface wear and handwritten markings are visible. Original illustrated packaging remains present.

AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE AUCTION: Pickup is the next day, 10 am to 2 pm, or by appointment. Purchasers must notify us immediately if our pickup day doesn’t work for them. Purchasers will be responsible for arranging their own pickup.

Any items not picked up in a reasonable time period shall be considered abandoned unless communication on the subject has been received. Your CTC account will be publicly notified to show non-payment, to prevent you from causing undue stress to other auctioneers.
